That F*ckin' Weeaboo Blog: AHOTAKU39
Yesterday, something really BIG and rare happened to me: a question was stuck in my head! Everytime this thing happens to me, I know something big will happen. It is the same kind of question that made me wrote the most well-thought pieces in my blogs: "DO IT NOW!", "The Science of Sleep", and "'Aku' dan 'Gue'".
Alright, before we get to that question, I would like to tell you something: I like watching anime (just google it if you don't know what i'm talking about). You might think that anime is ugly, you might think that such hobby is just a waste of time, you might think that I am a nerd ... I don't care. Well, I will make an entire post to discuss it later. But for now, let's go back to the main topic.
So, recently, when I was watching some anime, I noticed a very suspicious pattern. I think I am always attracted to the tsunderes. For you who didn't know, a tsundere is an anime character who acts unfriendly or even hostile to the protagonist, but later in the story turns out to be very affectionate and cute. I don't know what makes them so interesting. So I decided to type these words into Google, "why do we like tsundere".
Then came up many sites like reddit, quora, myanimelist, japanator, and some other less-known websites. I found many answers, but nothing really satisfied me. Then I open this bizzare website. When I saw the banner, ...
... the first thing that came up on my mind was "What a weeaboo -_-". But the article seems promising. Just take a look at the title: "ANIME THEORY: Psychology of a Tsundere - Why They're Attractive". Impressive, isn't it? And the content is really f*ckin' cool, man! I mean, this guy was trying to analyze anime with psychology theories, holy shit!
At the end of the article, I noticed something really suspicious, "Translation is up! Indonesian readers may access the Indonesian version here." Why it's only on Indonesian? If the article is really that great, why nobody translated it to other languages as well?
Ultimately, I decided to research that blog. And I was amazed to see these two words in the newest article of the blog: "Surabaya" and "nasi goreng". Shit, this guy is an Indonesian! I never thought a f*ckin' Indonesian weeaboo can maintain an english-language blog with such grammar excellence, never.
It doesn't end there. As I dive into this strange territory, I found a few facts about this guy:
1. He has a slow internet connection
2. He isn't rich
3. He likes to spend time with his laptop
4. He is very cynical person
5. He said that Miku saved his life (he didn't actually say that, but it was close)
6. And many more ...
Hey, that seems just like the description of myself (except for the Miku part. In my case, it's JKT48 instead of the f*ckin' unreal VOCALOID). Holy shit, this is so cool. You already know, the internet is full of shit. Finding stuff like this is probably one of the rarest thing that happens in my (online) life.
This blog has really inspired me. It has proved some of the most fundamental things about blog that I've been doubting for a long time:
1. An English blog really works
2. It's okay to write about weird, nerdy stuff
3. I'm not alone (particularly in my practice to mix science with cheesy subjects)
Ah... finally we reached the end of this article. I have decided, from now on, I will be writing english articles in this blog. I think I should study that grammar book again. Nevertheless, welcome, international readers!
Because this is my first full-length english article, I think I have to say the magic spell: sorry for my bad english XD.
And, as always, thank you for reading!
