For Every High Schooler Out There Who Watches Anime
While you're still in high school, watch as much as you can. Really.
It was so fast, it's been only a few months, but I already feel very different. FYI, I just graduated from my high school. And now, I'm inone of the best institute in my country (YEAH). Oh, but I won't boast about that. Not this time. I'll be talking about anime again this time.
One of the best thing about anime is that you can easily identify yourself with the main character. Especially if you're a quiet guy in high school, don't like sport, don't really interested in academics, not so handsome, not having any girlfriend ..., you know what I mean.
Since you're really similar to him in many things, you can easily imagine yourself playing his role in that anime. You can just go with the flow and enjoy the story. Or you might imagine yourself do something better (eg. not letting the villain escape), or even more foolish (eg. more lewd), than him. It's really fun, eh? I don't know if everyone does this, but I'm sure that all of you degenerate weaboos do this at least once in your anime-watching journey.
But you instantly lost that trait once you leave your high school. I mean, dude, now I'm socially older than Hikigaya Hachiman, or Yukinoshita Yukino, or Kyon, or Suzumiya Haruhi, or Kaname Madoka, or even Kousaka Honoka. What was once your fantasy of another, more engaging, life, now it's just a fantasy of your past. What was once a legitimate personification of my fantasies (read: waifu), now I can be considered pedophile for liking them (not that I care, though ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)).
Of course, this doesn't apply to all anime. There are many anime that disregard age and (formal) education entirely. But we all know that 99% of all anime involve high school kids.
So, if you think that you'll be watching a lot of anime in college, think again. And this is not the only reason, actually ....
But, after all, maybe I'm just watching the wrong show. Duh.
